Throughout my formative years as an artist and during the many years of practicing and producing art, I slowly became aware of its hidden power.  The pieces I create are derived from direct experiences and abstract ideas floating in my mind.  They are my personal experiences and translations of immediate and past environments that I have experienced.  As one can see, they represent my indigenous and mestizo inheritance and culture.  I have tried to reflect the different periods of their evolution to the present day.
The art that is political in nature reflects periods of change and turmoil.  This art was derived from my experiences during the sixties when the strong currents of change were in the air.  The other aspect of my art is strictly decorative, which brings about the balance one needs for anything.  It represents pleasant things that I have seen and that have made my spirit feel good.
